Context
Building on the conceptual brewery identity for Deid Kist – a fictional Edinburgh brand named after the Scots word for “coffin”- this piece explores how the brand’s darkly playful personality can translate into packaging.
The design forms part of a proposed series of beer labels inspired by famous unsolved mysteries, aligning with Deid-Kist’s fascination with the curious and the uncanny. This edition takes its cue from the story of D.B. Cooper, exploring how Deid-Kist’s identity would manifest on-shelf alongside real breweries like Pilot, Moonwake, and Vault City.
Details
The design incorporates a dedicated foiling layer, highlighting key elements such as the beer name, logo, and central illustration. Metallic detailing extends to the sunglasses, money, and airplane, enhancing the on-shelf appeal.
